Account management

LinkedIn account management, done for you

Posting is half of LinkedIn. The other half is commenting where your buyers are, growing the right network and catching warm conversations. We run that half, and flag what needs you.

The short answer

LinkedIn account management is the ongoing work around your posts: commenting on your ideal customers' posts, growing a targeted network, sorting DMs, and reporting on what works. Postlit does this daily by hand, flags warm conversations for you to answer, and can manage Thought Leader Ads. We never use pods, automation bots or mass DMs.

What LinkedIn account management covers

Many founders who post consistently still leave most of the value on the table. Their posts reach people, but nobody comments on buyers' posts, connection requests sit unanswered and a warm DM from a target account gets buried under recruiter spam. Account management closes that gap.

Strategic commenting

Comments are underrated. A thoughtful comment on the right post can put you in front of the right people, because it lands in a conversation your buyer already chose to read.

We build a target list with you: customers you want, partners, investors and respected voices in your niche. Each working day we leave comments that add something: a data point, a disagreement, a short story from your experience. Never "Great post!" and never a pitch. A hypothetical example for a cybersecurity founder commenting on a CISO's post about vendor fatigue: "We saw the same thing on our customer calls last quarter. The vendors that got shortlisted were the ones who showed one dashboard, not twelve."

Coverage of the 2026 algorithm, such as this Upgrowth piece, recommends genuine, specific commenting on niche posts as the replacement for engagement pods, which matches our approach.

Connection strategy

The goal is a network that matches your goal, not a bigger number. We agree on who to connect with (titles, industries, regions, company sizes) and who to decline or leave pending. Requests go out at a human pace with a short, specific note where it helps. We never send automated sequences.

DM triage

We sort your inbox into three groups: warm (a buyer, candidate, investor or partner worth your time), routine (we can draft a reply for your approval) and noise (sales pitches and spam). Warm conversations are flagged to you, with context on who the person is and a suggested reply. You answer them yourself. That is where pipeline actually comes from, and it stays in your hands.

What a typical week looks like

  • Every working day: comments on posts from your target list, connection requests reviewed and sent within the rules we agreed, inbox sorted.
  • Twice a week or more: a short note to you with warm conversations flagged, each with who the person is, why they matter and a suggested reply.
  • On posting days: replies to comments on your posts in the first hours, when conversation matters most, plus a flag for any comment you should answer yourself.
  • End of the week: a quick check of what is working, which target accounts are engaging back and which ones to add or drop.

Monthly reporting

Every month you get a short report in plain language:

  • Impressions and profile views, and the job titles and companies behind them
  • Posts and formats that earned saves and comments from your target audience
  • New connections from target accounts
  • Warm conversations flagged and what happened next
  • What we will change next month

Thought Leader Ads add-on

Thought Leader Ads let a company promote posts from a person's profile. They tend to be cheaper per click than standard formats. ZenABM's 2026 benchmarks report a median CPC of $2.29 for Thought Leader Ads versus $13.23 for single-image ads. We pick posts that already performed organically, set tight audience targeting and report on cost per profile view and per conversation. Ad budget is paid directly to LinkedIn. Our Thought Leader Ads guide explains how they work.

Security and access

How we access your account depends on the work.

  • Ghostwriting only: no account access needed. You publish approved posts, or we schedule through an agreed tool. We never ask for your password.
  • Account management: commenting and DM triage need access. We agree a secure method with you before we start, documented and revocable at any time, and we never ask you to send a password over email or chat.
  • Thought Leader Ads: run through your company's LinkedIn Campaign Manager, with your approval on every post that is promoted.

Anything sensitive in your inbox (legal, HR, personal) is left untouched and flagged to you.

What we never do

LinkedIn's prohibited software and extensions policy bans third-party tools that automate activity or try to manipulate content algorithms, and members who use them risk restricted accounts. Our own rules go further:

  • No engagement pods. Groups that like and comment on each other's posts to game reach.
  • No automation bots. No auto-commenting, auto-connecting or auto-viewing tools.
  • No mass DMs. No sequenced cold outreach sent in your name.
  • No bought followers or engagement. Ever.
  • No pitching in comments. Comments build reputation. Pitches in comments burn it.

The short-term numbers from these tactics can look good, but they attract the wrong audience and put your account at risk.

Who this is for

Account management suits founders, CEOs and partners who already post (with us or on their own) and want the work around posting handled. It works best paired with LinkedIn ghostwriting, because the comments, connections and posts all follow one plan. It also suits CEOs and executives whose inbox has become unmanageable, and VCs and investors who want to stay visible to founders without spending an hour a day in the feed.

How Postlit works with you on account management

We start with the free LinkedIn teardown and a 45-minute interview to agree your goal, target list and access method. Commenting and connection work begins once access is set up, DM triage runs daily, and the first monthly report comes at the end of month one. Your time is the warm DMs we flag plus a short monthly review. If you want to understand how commenting fits into selling, read our piece on founder-led sales on LinkedIn. Engagements are scoped on a call, based on volume and whether ads are included.

Frequently asked questions

What is a LinkedIn account management service?

It is ongoing, hands-on management of the activity around your posts: commenting on your ideal customers' posts, building a targeted network, sorting your inbox and reporting results. At Postlit it is done by hand, and warm conversations are flagged to you to answer personally.

Is it safe to let an agency manage my LinkedIn account?

It can be, if access is agreed properly. We set up a secure, documented and revocable access method before starting, never ask for passwords by email or chat, and do not use automation tools that LinkedIn prohibits. For ghostwriting alone, we need no account access at all.

Do you use LinkedIn automation tools or engagement pods?

No. LinkedIn's policies prohibit third-party software that automates activity, and engagement pods attract the wrong audience while risking your account. All commenting, connecting and messaging we do is manual and specific to the post or person, written in your voice and inside the target list we agree with you at the start.

Will you reply to my DMs for me?

We sort them. Routine messages can get a drafted reply for your approval, spam is ignored, and warm conversations with buyers, candidates or investors are flagged to you with context so you reply yourself. Those conversations are where results come from, so they stay yours.

What are LinkedIn Thought Leader Ads?

They are ads that promote a post from a person's profile through a company's Campaign Manager account. They usually cost less per click than standard formats. ZenABM's 2026 benchmarks put the median CPC at $2.29 versus $13.23 for single-image ads. We offer management as an optional add-on.
