The short answer

A LinkedIn personal branding agency in India writes and manages your LinkedIn presence: positioning, profile rewrite, 3 to 5 ghostwritten posts a week and strategic engagement. Indian retainers commonly start around ₹40,000 to ₹60,000 a month and pass ₹1 lakh for funded-startup and MNC leaders. Postlit works remotely across India and scopes each engagement on a call.

Why LinkedIn matters more in India than almost anywhere else

India is one of LinkedIn's largest markets. NapoleonCat counted roughly 200.7 million LinkedIn users in India in September 2026, and nearly half of them were between 25 and 34. That is the cohort that becomes your next hire, your next enterprise buyer and, a few years out, your next co-investor.

The audience is large, but the feed is crowded. Indian LinkedIn has its own culture: long personal stories, festival posts, "grateful to announce" posts, and a heavy dose of motivational content that reads the same whichever founder posted it. LinkedIn's 2026 ranking changes reward topic consistency, saves and dwell time, and they penalize engagement bait. We break that down in our LinkedIn algorithm 2026 explainer. The leaders who win in India now post fewer generic opinions and more specific operating detail.

What Indian leaders actually post about (and what works)

Across the founders, CXOs and doctors we work with, the topics that earn real conversations in India tend to be:

  • Building in India for India. Distribution in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, UPI-era payments behavior, vernacular users, GST and compliance realities. Global playbooks rarely survive contact with these, and readers know it.
  • Hiring and talent. Notice periods, counter-offers, campus hiring, building a team outside Bengaluru. Every Indian operator has a story here.
  • Fundraising candor. What a down round felt like, why a term sheet fell through, how a bootstrapped company outlasted funded competitors.
  • Clinical and professional judgment. For doctors and CAs, plain-language explanations of what patients and clients get wrong, written within the profession's ethics rules.

A sample hook we might write for a hypothetical D2C founder: "We spent ₹18 lakh on Instagram ads before we noticed our best customers came from a single WhatsApp group in Indore." That is specific, local and true to the business, which is the standard we hold every post to.

Where we work in India

We are a remote-first team based in India, and we do not run city offices. Most of our client work happens over a 45-minute monthly voice interview, a weekly approval batch and a shared tracker. Clients in every metro work with us the same way. If you want local context, our city pages go deeper:

CityWho we usually write forWhat their feed needs
BangaloreSaaS, AI and deeptech foundersTechnical credibility a buyer can follow
MumbaiBFSI, media, D2C and family-business leadersAuthority without compliance risk
Delhi NCRConsumer internet, consulting, policy-adjacent leadersSharp points of view, careful framing
Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, AhmedabadManufacturing, IT services, healthcare, family enterprisesExpertise that reads as current, not corporate

Indian compliance realities we write around

Some Indian professions carry rules that a generic content agency will not know. Doctors operate under National Medical Commission ethics expectations on self-promotion. CAs follow ICAI's advertising restrictions. Regulated financial entities face SEBI's rules on associating with unregistered finfluencers, which took effect on 29 August 2024 according to Nishith Desai Associates' analysis. We build each content plan around what you are allowed to say, and you approve every word before it goes live. See our pages for doctors and chartered accountants for profession-specific detail.

What it costs in India

We do not publish our own prices, because scope varies a lot: a CXO who wants three posts a week is a different engagement from a founder who also wants daily commenting and Thought Leader Ads. For the market as a whole, Gliped's 2026 pricing guide puts Indian retainers at around ₹40,000 to ₹60,000 a month to start, and experienced ghostwriters commonly charge ₹1 lakh or more for funded-startup and MNC CEOs. Our LinkedIn ghostwriting cost guide has the full India and global tables with sources.

Why founders pick an India-based team even for global audiences

Many of our Indian clients sell to the US, UAE or UK. An India-based writer understands both the Indian operating context and the global buyer, which matters when a Pune SaaS founder is writing for a CFO in Ohio. It also means your review calls happen in your working hours, not at midnight.

A first month, for example

Here is what the first 30 days might look like for a hypothetical Hyderabad-based healthtech founder who wants hospital partnerships:

WeekPost ideaWhy it works in India
1"We pitched 14 hospital CFOs. The 3 who said yes asked the same question."Specific number, names the buyer, invites saves
2A carousel on how procurement actually works in a private hospital chainEducational, built to be saved and forwarded
3The story of a nurse in a Tier 2 city who found a bug in the productHuman, local, credits someone else
4A contrarian take: why "AI for healthcare" pitches fail with Indian hospital boardsOpinion backed by experience, sparks comments

Alongside the posts, we comment on the posts of hospital administrators, healthtech investors and doctors the founder wants to reach, and flag any conversation that turns warm. Founders building in health should also see our page for healthtech founders.

How Postlit works with leaders across India

  1. Free LinkedIn teardown, then a 45-minute voice interview in English or Hinglish, whichever you think in.
  2. Positioning, profile rewrite and a 90-day plan tied to one business goal: pipeline, hiring, fundraising or patients.
  3. We write, you approve. Three to five posts a week arrive as a weekly batch, roughly 20 minutes of your time.
  4. We engage and report. Strategic commenting on your buyers' posts, warm DMs flagged to you, and a monthly report.

First posts typically go live within two weeks. Most clients see impressions and profile views rise within 30 to 45 days, and inbound conversations typically start from month 2 or 3 of consistent posting. Start with our LinkedIn ghostwriting service or book a teardown.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best LinkedIn personal branding agency in India?

The best fit depends on who you are. A BFSI leader needs compliance awareness, a SaaS founder needs technical depth, a doctor needs someone who knows medical ethics rules. Shortlist two or three agencies, ask for writing samples in a voice similar to yours, and check who actually writes. Our guide to LinkedIn ghostwriting agencies in India compares the options neutrally.

How much does LinkedIn ghostwriting cost in India?

Indian retainers commonly start around ₹40,000 to ₹60,000 a month for a writing-focused package, and experienced ghostwriters charge ₹1 lakh or more a month for senior leaders. Freelancers can be cheaper, from roughly ₹12,000 to ₹35,000 a month for a basic package. Scope, seniority and engagement work drive the difference.

Do you have offices in Indian cities?

No. Postlit Media is a remote-first team based in India. We work with clients across Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi NCR and other cities through a monthly voice interview, weekly approvals and a shared tracker. Clients tell us they prefer it, because it takes under two hours of their month.

Can you write in Hinglish or regional languages?

We interview in English or Hinglish, whichever you think in, and we write LinkedIn posts in English, which is what most Indian professional audiences read on the platform. A Hinglish phrase can appear where it sounds natural in your voice. We do not currently write full posts in regional languages.

Will my LinkedIn posts sound AI-generated?

No. Every post is written by a person from your own stories and opinions. We use AI only for research and analytics, never for the words. That matters more now: LinkedIn added a way to flag AI-generated content in 2026, and generic AI posts tend to get noticeably less reach.
