The short answer

Chandigarh Tricity and Punjab leaders, including doctors, real estate developers, education founders and businesses serving NRI families, use a LinkedIn personal branding agency to build trust locally and with the diaspora. The agency writes 3 to 5 posts a week from a monthly interview and follows medical and RERA rules. Postlit is India-based and remote, with no Chandigarh office.

The Tricity's LinkedIn audience lives in two time zones

Chandigarh, the planned city, sits at the centre of a Tricity with Mohali in Punjab and Panchkula in Haryana. Its professional life rests on a few strong pillars. Medicine is one: the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), an Institute of National Importance founded in 1962, trains doctors who go on to lead hospitals and practices across north India. Real estate is another, with steady development along the Mohali, Zirakpur, New Chandigarh and Panchkula corridors. Education is a third, from established universities to private university groups and coaching and overseas-study businesses. Mohali has also built a growing IT and startup base.

What makes the Tricity distinct is the diaspora. Many Punjabi families have relatives in Canada, the UK, the US and Australia, and that network shapes business: NRIs buy property at home, send children to study abroad, consult doctors back in India and invest in family businesses. A Tricity leader's LinkedIn audience often sits partly in Toronto or Birmingham. That affects what you post and when.

What Tricity leaders should post about

  • Medicine, taught well. Explaining conditions, new treatment approaches and clinical decision-making to peers and the public, within the National Medical Commission's rules.
  • Real estate with transparency. Construction progress, approvals, the economics of a project, what NRI buyers ask before investing. Trust is the product.
  • Education outcomes. Student results, industry partnerships and honest guidance on studying abroad, including when it is not the right choice.
  • Building a business outside the metros. Hiring, costs and quality of life in the Tricity compared with Delhi NCR or Bangalore, and why some founders are coming back.
  • Diaspora connections. Serving families split across continents, from property management to healthcare coordination, told through anonymized stories.

A hook we might draft for a hypothetical Mohali developer: "Half our buyers last year never visited the site before booking. Here is the one video update they all asked for."

Rules that apply here

Doctors. The NMC's Guidelines on Ethical Advertising and Public Communication, issued on 6 October 2026, bar patient testimonials and unverifiable superlatives, and state that using an agency does not shift responsibility away from the doctor, as Medical Dialogues reported. Our co-founder Dr. Banpreet Kaur trained as a doctor, and we write educational, professional content only. See our page for doctors.

Real estate developers. Under Section 11(2) of the RERA Act, promoters must show the project's registration number and the authority's website address in advertisements, and state authorities apply this to digital and social media promotion. A Haryana RERA order applies the same provision, which matters for Panchkula projects, while Mohali projects fall under Punjab's authority. Any LinkedIn post that promotes a specific project should carry these details; general market commentary usually does not need them. Check with your legal team, and see our page for real estate leaders.

Logistics: remote, IST, timed for the diaspora

We are a remote-first team based in India with no office in Chandigarh, Mohali or Panchkula. Clients join one 45-minute voice interview a month and approve weekly drafts in about 20 minutes. Speak in Punjabi, Hindi or English in the interview; we write the posts in English, which both local professionals and the diaspora read on LinkedIn. When a post is meant for NRI readers in North America, we schedule it for their morning, which usually means the Indian evening.

How Postlit works with Tricity leaders

  1. Fill a short form and send it via WhatsApp or email. A founder replies, usually within a few hours IST, with a written free LinkedIn teardown: the three changes we would make first. A 30-minute call follows only if it is a fit.
  2. Interview and positioning. A 45-minute interview, a profile rewrite and a 90-day plan tied to one goal.
  3. We write, you approve. Three to five posts a week through our personal branding service, with compliance flags where needed.
  4. We engage and report. Comments on the posts of the people you want to reach, warm DMs flagged to you, monthly reporting.

Engagements are scoped on a call. For the national view, see our India page.

Frequently asked questions

Does Postlit have an office in Chandigarh or Mohali?

No. Postlit Media is a remote-first team based in India with no office in Chandigarh, Mohali or Panchkula. Clients work with us through a monthly 45-minute voice interview, which can be in Punjabi, Hindi or English, weekly approvals that take about 20 minutes and a shared tracker.

Do real estate LinkedIn posts need a RERA registration number?

Posts that advertise or promote a specific registered project should carry its RERA registration number and the authority's website, under Section 11(2) of the RERA Act as applied by state authorities. General market commentary and construction lessons that do not promote a project usually do not. Confirm the rules with your legal team and your state authority.

Can a doctor in Chandigarh use a LinkedIn ghostwriter?

Yes, within the NMC's October 2026 advertising guidelines. Doctors cannot use patient testimonials, unverifiable superlatives or outcome guarantees, and remain responsible for content an agency publishes for them. Educational posts, research, teaching and professional insight are fine. We write within these rules, and every post is approved by you before it is published.

How should Tricity businesses reach NRI audiences on LinkedIn?

Write for their concerns: trust, transparency and distance. Explain processes clearly, show progress with evidence, answer the questions families abroad ask, and schedule posts for their morning, which is often the Indian evening. Avoid return guarantees or promises about visas or outcomes, which damage credibility and may breach regulations.
