The short answer
Bengaluru AI founders selling to US buyers should post in a plain US-business voice, schedule for US mornings, and write about specific customer problems, evaluation results and build decisions, not AI hype. Use the same profile to hire engineers in India by showing real technical depth. Founder-led content works best with consistency over months.
Who this is for, and why LinkedIn matters
This playbook is for founders and CEOs of AI and SaaS companies headquartered or engineering-led in Bengaluru, selling mainly to buyers in the United States. Many of you started with an Indian customer or two and now need US enterprise and mid-market deals, US investors and, eventually, a US sales team.
LinkedIn is the one platform where all of those people already are. US buyers check a founder's profile before taking a call from an unfamiliar vendor. US seed and Series A investors look for founders who can communicate clearly to American customers. And the senior engineers and ML researchers you want to hire in Bengaluru judge your company by whether the founder sounds like they know what they are building.
The challenge is that one profile has to serve two audiences on opposite sides of the world. The playbook below is about doing that without sounding like two different people.
The audience and what it rewards
| Reader | What they reward | What makes them distrust you |
|---|---|---|
| US VP or director (buyer) | Clear problem framing, evidence, security and reliability thinking | "Revolutionary AI", vague ROI claims |
| US investors | Traction, customer learning, a crisp market view | Indian-English formalities, long preambles |
| US design partners and early customers | Responsiveness, honesty about limits | Overpromising features |
| Senior engineers and ML researchers in Bengaluru | Real technical decisions, how hard problems were solved | Hiring posts with no substance |
| Indian founders and investors | Lessons on selling to the US from India | Humblebrags |
US buyers have seen thousands of AI pitches since 2023. The founders who stand out are the ones who describe a specific workflow, what their system gets wrong, and how they measure it.
Posting rules and claims
There is no special LinkedIn regulation for AI founders, but a few lines matter:
- Substantiate performance claims. "95% accuracy" needs a dataset, a task and a comparison. US enterprise buyers and their procurement teams will ask.
- Customer names need written permission. Most US enterprise contracts restrict publicity. Use "a US mid-market insurer" until you have sign-off.
- Do not share customer data or screenshots that reveal personal or confidential information.
- Disclose material connections if you promote a partner's product or employees post about yours. The FTC's endorsement guidance expects that in the US, and the ASCI FAQ sets out labels in India.
- Be careful with fundraising details if you are in a live round; let your lawyers and lead investor guide timing.
10 post angles for AI founders selling to the US
| Angle | Example hook (hypothetical) | Goal |
|---|---|---|
| Customer problem | "A claims team in Ohio spends 11 hours a week copying data between two screens. We watched them do it." | Buyer relevance |
| Honest limits | "Where our model still fails, and what we tell customers about it." | Trust with buyers |
| Evaluation | "We evaluated four LLMs on our own task. The cheapest one won on two of five metrics." | Technical credibility |
| Build decision | "Why we moved off a vector database for this use case." | Engineer hiring |
| Selling from India | "Our first US enterprise deal took 7 months. Here is the timeline." | Founder peers, investors |
| Security | "The 40-page security questionnaire that taught us to build SOC 2 in from day one." | Enterprise readiness |
| Pricing | "We changed pricing from seats to outcomes. Two customers left. Revenue went up." | Business thinking |
| Team | "Our first ML hire in Bengaluru turned down a big-tech offer. I asked her why." | Recruiting |
| Market view | "Three things US buyers stopped believing about AI agents this year." | Thought leadership |
| Founder life | "Running a company on two time zones: what I do at 9pm IST." | Human connection |
Voice notes: writing for a US reader from Bengaluru
Small changes make a big difference to how a US buyer reads you:
- Lead with the point. US readers expect the conclusion first, then the evidence.
- Drop the formalities. "Kindly", "do the needful", "revert back" and long gratitude openings read as non-native to US buyers.
- US spelling and dates (organization, October 27) for US-facing posts.
- Plain claims with numbers, not adjectives.
- Keep the Indian context when it helps. "We built this in Bengaluru" is a strength when paired with evidence of quality and responsiveness.
Timing. As of late October 2026, India is 9.5 hours ahead of New York and 12.5 hours ahead of San Francisco. US daylight saving ends on 1 November 2026, after which the gaps become 10.5 and 13.5 hours. A US-morning post goes live in the Indian evening, so schedule ahead and have someone ready to reply to comments in the first hour.
Our co-founder's own account is the test case for this method: the Deepanshu Udhwani case study shows growth from zero to more than 300,000 average impressions per post, written from India.
Your first 90 days
| Month | Focus | Output |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | US positioning | Interview, US-facing profile rewrite, claims and customer-name rules, 8 to 12 posts |
| 2 | Buyer problems and proof | Customer-problem, evaluation and security posts, engagement with target US buyers and investors |
| 3 | Hiring and credibility | Build-decision posts for engineers, a selling-from-India lesson, review of inbound demos and applicants |
Common mistakes
- AI hype without specifics. US buyers scroll past it.
- Posting at Indian times for a US audience.
- Naming customers without permission.
- Only writing for Indian founders, which wins local likes but no US pipeline.
- Separate personas for buyers and engineers. One honest, technical voice serves both.
Budget context
You may pay in rupees or dollars. In India, Jigsawkraft's pricing guide puts agencies commonly at ₹40,000 to ₹60,000 a month, with experienced ghostwriters for senior founders at ₹1 lakh or more. US-market rates from The Digital Writing Firm run roughly $1,500 to $3,500 a month for mid-tier specialists. Postlit does not publish prices; see our cost guide.
How Postlit works with Bengaluru founders
We are a remote team based in India, so we share your time zone and can also cover US-morning engagement windows.
- Send a short form via WhatsApp or email. A founder replies with a free written LinkedIn teardown. A 30-minute call follows only if it is a fit.
- Monthly 45-minute voice interview about customers, product, technical decisions and the US market.
- We write, you approve. Human-written drafts in US business English, with claims and customer names flagged.
- We engage and report. Comments on the posts of US buyers, investors and engineers you want to reach, timed for US mornings, and a monthly report. See our Bangalore page, AI startup founders page and SaaS founders page.

Frequently asked questions
How should an Indian AI founder write LinkedIn posts for US buyers?
Lead with the point, use plain US business English and spelling, drop formal Indian-English phrases, and back every claim with a number, a dataset or a customer example. Describe specific workflows and honest limits rather than AI hype.
When should Bengaluru founders post for a US audience?
Schedule for US mornings. In late October 2026, India is 9.5 hours ahead of New York and 12.5 hours ahead of San Francisco; after US daylight saving ends on 1 November 2026, the gaps are 10.5 and 13.5 hours. Have someone ready to reply to early comments.
Can one LinkedIn profile serve US buyers and Indian engineering hires?
Yes. Technical depth and honest decision-making appeal to both. Write customer-problem and evaluation posts for buyers, build-decision posts for engineers, and keep one consistent voice rather than two personas.
Should I name US customers in my LinkedIn posts?
Only with written permission. Many US enterprise contracts restrict publicity. Describe the customer generically, such as 'a US mid-market insurer', until you have sign-off, and never share screenshots containing customer data.
Is a LinkedIn ghostwriter worth it for an early-stage AI startup?
It can be if the founder is the main sales channel and has no time to write consistently. The ghostwriter captures your thinking in a monthly interview and turns it into regular posts you approve. It works when you commit to months, not weeks.
